BLUEGRASS EVENT PLANNING & RENTALS EST. 2017
Since 2012, Emily has worked with the best of the best in the event industry. From full-service event coordinating, to floral arrangement, to venue management, to catering management, to event rental services, in a number of different cities. Emily has event planning experience like no other in Western Kentucky. In 2017, Emily brought her event planning experience to Paducah, Kentucky, and opened Bluegrass Event Planning. She has been working full-time in the event industry ever since.
EMILY SMITH
Lead Event Planner, Owner
Emily is a professional event planner from Paducah, Kentucky. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management & Tourism from the University of Kentucky and a Master's in Business from Murray State University.
One of many highlights of Emily's event planning career was when she helped set up and decorate a wedding ceremony and reception involving thousands of roses at Lexington's famous Castle Post.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys traveling with her husband, Greg Smith. She loves spending time with her son, Brooks; dog, Beau; and family and friends.
BRITTANY KOLLENBERG
Event Planner, Social Media Manager
Brittany joined the Bluegrass Event Planning team as an intern in 2019. She was hired full-time in 2021. She is Emily's second-hand man, on-staff calligrapher, and manager of all social media channels.
Brittany is from Lebanon, Tennessee. She graduated from Murray State University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations.
In her spare time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband, Teddy; dog, Glaedr; and cat, Nox. She loves reading, and catching up with family and friends.
